So, it's finally time to kick things off and what better way is there to do it than with starting the first season of the FIFA Manual Champions League?
The tournament will be played on PS4 only and there are 8 spots to fill for Division 1. If the interest among the public is high enough we will open up a second division with a relegation/promotion system added. If the interest becomes even higher we will of course expand and add more divisions. The same goes for other consoles, if there are enough people wanting to join in on another console we will of course do our best to open up a league for them aswell.
The rules for the league are very basic. The 8 participants will face each other twice, each player facing his opponent as the home team once and away the second to create fair circumstances for both parts. If you win a match, you gain 3 points. If you draw, both players get 1 point each. The one with the most points at the end of the season, when everyone has played 14 games, is the winner of the FIFA Manual Champions League - Season One. If two or more participants end up on the same amount of points the ranking is determined as follows:
1. Goal difference
2. Amount of goals scored
If two or more participants still are ranked equally they will be divided by the results only against each other. If two participants still are equal after this step they will get to play a one-tie final to determine who is the winner. If that ends with a draw another game between the two shall take place. This process goes on until we have a winner. Every match has to be played between Monday 13/10 and Sunday 19/10. The results shall be reported personally to me by both parts after the games have finished. It's very important that both parts confirm the result to make sure we get the results right.
The match rules will be as follows:
The matches will be played as online friendlies so you will have to add each other on PSN.
For season one you are free to pick any team with 2.5-3 stars to play with throughout the whole season and the order of picking teams will be randomized. To make the picking of teams easy the 8 registered participants will hand over a list of the 8 teams they want to play as most, ranking the team they want most as number one and the one they want least as number eight. The one being drawn first will of course get the first team on his/her list. The second one being drawn will get their first choice unless it is the same as the previous persons. The same goes for the third, if his/her first choice is availabe then he/she will get it otherwise you get the first available choice on the list and then we continue like that until everyone has a team.
The winner gets, apart from fame and great honor, a guaranteed place in the next season of the FMCL aswell as the privilege to choose what kind of teams will be used for the next season. It could for example be "Teams from a certain country", "Teams that start on a certain letter" or "Teams with max/min/exactly 1-5 stars". The possibilities are endless.
